The Ondo State Council of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has thrown their weight behind the Executive Governor of the state,Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as their preferred candidate for the forth coming November 16th 2024, governorship election.

The Council under the leadership of Com.Adewale Bolarinwa endorsed the Executive Governor of the state at their State Secretariat Adegbola street Akure the capital of Ondo State.

Members of the council from the eighteen local government areas of the State gathered in thousands  to declare total support for the governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa during and after the governorship election.

The RTEAN Chairman Com. Adewale Bolarinwa who in his speech commended the governor for embacking on massive construction of roads across the state said,in the area of security,governor has performed excellently well.

expressing the union collective confidence in the governor’s ability to continue delivering on his promises, the chairman disclosed that the tremendous impact of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration is everywhere across the State.

According to him,the governor’s commitment ,to the development of ondo state and the welfare of his people has convinced him that the APC is the right platform to achieve the goals.

Bolarinwa who confidently assured the governor of 100 percent victory in the eighteen Local Government of the state express readiness of the union leaders to start grassroots mobilization, assuring that the entirety of the union stands firmly behind him.

Speaking during the occasion,the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters,Com Bola Taiwo while commending members of RTEAN in the state for maintaining peace and other all the time urged them to continue  to spread the  support across the State and come out
during the governorship election to and perform their rights by voting enmasse for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

The Governor of the state hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa who appreciates the members of RTEAN in Ondo State for their endorsement and support stated that,he will continue to construct more roads, for easy transportation of commuters,goods and services.

The governor declared that “this is a clear indication that our message of progress and development is resonating with the people. Together, we will continue to build on the foundation we have laid and take Ondo State to greater heights”, the Governor said.

He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensured that the November 16 election will be free, fair, and peaceful urged all political party members and supporters to remain vigilant at the polls.

Aiyedatiwa assured that there will be adequate security adding that Amotekun has been strengthened as well as other security agencies to be able to wardoff criminal elements in the state.

The governor promised to continue rehabilitates and build more roads, provide security and other infrastructural development across the state .

He however,implored leadership of the Association to forward their request to his office for consideration and approval.
