The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointments and inauguration of former Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and legal luminary, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, as Ministers.

While Oyetola was inaugurated by the President on Monday as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Fagbemi was inaugurated as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation.

In his congratulatory message to Oyetola, Aiyedatiwa said: “On behalf of the Government and good people of Ondo State, I extend my warm congratulations to HIS EXCELLENCY, ALHAJI ADEGBOYEGA OYETOLA on his inauguration today as the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“This appointment is a recognition of your statesmanship, steadfastness and exemplary character both in and out of office.

You are a visionary leader and the imprint of your socio-economic policies, programmes and infrastructural development during your tenure as Governor of Osun State remains indelible.

“We thank Mr. President for creating the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, which holds a lot of potentials for Nigeria, for Ondo State that is blessed with the longest coastline in the country, and for the confidence reposed in you to man such a critical sector of the Nation’s economy.

“Honourrable Minister, we look forward to a productive working relationship between the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy and the Government of Ondo State, particularly on the development of Port Ondo which the administration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has consistently pursued since its inception.

For Fagbemi, the Acting Governor wrote: “Dear Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN, I congratulate you on your inauguration today as the Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“This call to national duty is a testament to your commitment to excellence, integrity, and personal accomplishments as a legal luminary with compassionate vision for justice for many decades standing.

“As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and patriot, you have made significant and enduring contributions to the development of the legal profession through the expansion of frontiers of jurisprudence in Nigeria.

“With the superlative qualifications you wield and the enviable personal attributes you possess, it is no surprise that this appointment has been well received across board in the legal community as a demonstration of the mantra of putting a round peg in a round hole.
