A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Dr Muyiwa Adu, has described Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State as the best among gubernatorial aspirants to move the state forward.

Adu stated this on Friday in Akure during his public declaration for Aiyedatiwa gubernatorial bid.

He said that the governor was not a mere human being but a man being specially favoured by God.

The chieftain said that God’s directive and wide consultation prompted him to declare his support towards Aiyedatiwa’s gubernatorial ambition.

According to him, Aiyedatiwa is fit and qualified to continue as governor of the state, calling party’s members to vote en masse during the April 20 primary.

He said that Aiyedatiwa had listening ears, with attributes of a team leader coupled with integrity.

“ I want to tell people publicly that we are supporting Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa gubernatorial bid come April 20 APC primary. I’m a patron to about 73 associations in the state and we are all giving our support to the governor.

“As I told you that it’s God that directed me to politics; therefore, it’s God’s directive and wife consultation that picked Gov. Aiyedatiwa for our support.

“Governor is not a mere human being . We don’t want to wander away like biblical Israelites for many years and that’s why we are throwing our support

“We will follow our words with actions and we are bringing Aiyedatiwa to become our party’s candidate Saturday, next week next and come November 16, we will vote for him,” he stated.

Responding, Aiyedatiwa thanked Adu for having confidence in him, describing him as one of the leaders in the party with a crowd of supporters.

“ I know that he cannot mislead you. What God told him in the secret is being revealed publicly today.

“All other aspirants have been to him to convince him and seek his support but he has not picked any of them but me. They know that he has a crowd as his followers.

“ I said to myself that he would come to me and support me. I can tell you undoubtedly that this open declaration for me will in no great measure contribute to my success in the primary on Saturday, April 20 and on November 16 poll.

“ I thank you for this great mobilization,” he said.
