Akintayo applauds Aiyedatiwa’s first year in office, pledges grassroots support

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and House of Assembly hopeful for Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency, Ambassador Akintunde Akintayo, has commended Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his first anniversary in office, lauding what he described as a year of purposeful and people-centred leadership.

In a statement issued to mark the milestone, Akintayo praised the governor for recording notable achievements in critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare and workers’ welfare.

He said the administration had restored confidence in governance through visible projects and policy initiatives that have positively impacted residents across the state.

According to him, road construction and rehabilitation works spread across the three senatorial districts have enhanced connectivity, facilitated commercial activities and eased transportation for commuters.

Akintayo also acknowledged improvements in public schools and healthcare facilities, noting that government interventions have strengthened service delivery and expanded access to quality education and medical care.

“Within one year, the governor has shown clear commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable growth.

The infrastructural developments, attention to workers’ welfare and economic reforms underscore a deliberate effort to reposition the state,” he said.

The APC aspirant further highlighted the administration’s youth-focused initiatives and support for small and medium-scale enterprises, adding that such measures have stimulated economic growth and opened up opportunities for young people.

Reaffirming his allegiance to the APC, Akintayo pledged his continued backing for the Aiyedatiwa-led government, expressing optimism that the state would witness further progress under the governor’s leadership.

Reflecting on his own stewardship within Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo, Akintayo cited various grassroots interventions, including financial assistance to traders, educational support schemes for students and community-based empowerment programmes aimed at improving livelihoods.

Some residents of the constituency, he said, have benefited from sustained outreach initiatives designed to strengthen small businesses and encourage academic advancement among youths.

He maintained that his ambition to represent the constituency in the State House of Assembly is rooted in a desire to align with and complement the developmental strides of the present administration at the grassroots level.

Akintayo concluded by offering prayers for continued wisdom and strength for the governor as he pilots the affairs of Ondo State in the years ahead.
