Anti land grabbing bill: REMASSOS appeals to Ondo Assembly for speedy passage

Members of The Real Estate Managers’ Association in Ondo State has appealed to the State House of Assembly to speed up the passage of Anti land grabbing bill.

It would be recalled that on the 6th of June, 2024, the Anti land grabbing bill was commited to the commitee stage at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji.

Addressing the newsmen after a solidarity visit to the House of Assembly on Tuesday, the State President of the Association, Otunba Alabi Alaba Bamidele noted that if the bill is not looked upon or passed, it will seriously impede their own businesses, as they are victims of the circumstance.

According to him, with the passage of the bill, the association will have more reason to tackle quakery among them and bring it to an end.

While appreciating the Speaker and his members, Bamidele stated that the bill came to the Association as a surprise, as they never expected that such bill could come to existence.

“The bill has already been committed to the committee stage as we are confident that the lawmakers will do needful in ensuring that the bill is passed as soon as possible”.

He also appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for throwing his weight behind the bill and making it to see the light of the day.

He encouraged the citizens of Ondo State to support the Ondo State House of Assembly and the administration of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
