Ayebusiwa Felicitates Ondo APC Chairman

Chiarman, House Committee on State Tertiary Institutions and Member representing Okitipupa Constituency I at Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, has facilitated Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin, on his appointment as Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State.

In a release publicised by the Federal Ministry of Education and signed by its Permanent Secretary, Didi Walson-Jack, Engineer Adetimehin is listed among other Nigerian appointed to man the various academic institutions owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The list comprises five names each for 50 universities, 37 polytechnics, and 24 colleges of education.

The lawmaker, in a statement he personally signed and released to the press, described the appointment of Engineer Adetimehin as deserving and timely. He also noted that the appointee is a leader who has justified his assignment of political leadership in many respects.

“As the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Engr Adetimehin has good account of himself. It’s therefore not a surprise that he was found worth by the Federal Government to lead an academic institution as Chairman. I have no doubt whatever in his capacity to deliver on the mandate of the institution. I therefore congratulate him very heartily.” Ayebusiwa said.

Other appointees in Attahiru Jega as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS), Messrs Olanipeku, Alli, Okubukola and Aremu will chair the councils for the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers State.

The former Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, to chair the governing council of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN); Joy Emordi, a former Senator, who will chair the council of Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, Imo State, and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Yayale Ahmed, who is appointed to lead the council of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State.
