The immediate past speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun has appreciated the good people of Ifedore constituency for their support and loyalty.

Oleyelogun’s appreciation message was contained in statement obtained by our Correspondent on Thursday.

The statement read, “With a deep sense of humility, I, Rt.Hon.(Prophet) Oleyelogun Bamidele David wishes to humbly appreciate all my loyal, great, amiable and beloved people of Ifedore State Constituency. In fact, I am short of words and I can not express how happy and grateful I am to God and everyone of you”.

“Let me use this golden opportunity to thank you all for your outstanding, love, prayers, undiluted encouragements, unconditional support, counsel, and selfless efforts towards my success and achievement throughout my twelve (12) years in office, six (6) years as member and six (6) years as the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly and this made me to be the longest serving Speaker in the history of Ondo State”.

“More so, my unalloyed appreciation goes to all the Monarchs in Ifedore Local Government and the entire people of the State. The Baales, Queens, Chiefs, Iyalajes, Iyalojas, youth leaders, Traditionalists, all party leaders, Produce Buyers(Awon Oni koko), Youths, Artisans, Market women, Elders, Widows, Widowers, Religious Leaders, most especially Christians Associationof Nigeria(CAN), Muslims brothers and sisters, Students, BEDC Officials, Farmers, NURTW, Olokadas, Hunters, Journalists, Security Agencies, and all the good people of Ifedore Local Government and the entire good people of the state as a whole”.

“According to a usual saying which goes thus: “Monkey sabi jump, monkey sabi jump, na because say tree dey close to each other, if not, monkey no go get jumping skills”, to be candid no Speaker has ever enjoyed this kind cooperation and support in Ondo State and Ifedore State Constituency except the “Nineth Assembly” the Assembly of Progress. Sequel to the reasonable, reliable, dedicated, hardworking, and responsible people of my Constituency. I commend all your efforts and I say a resounding thank you all”.

However, I would like us to know that no creature is perfect, we are all working towards perfection, for every part of my shortcomings, I am deeply sorry, if there were times in record that I did wrong, for all the people that feel I offended them in one way or the other, “E ma binu” and for those who offended me also in the course of serving our people better, I have forgiven you all and I will never hold grudges against any one of you”.

“More so, I would like to reiterate that the speaker I became is because of your backing, your love for me, and it was a great success”.

“Thank you all for standing by me. God bless you all, and I say a big congratulations to every one of us. Almighty God will guide you through and grant you wisdom in all ramifications in Jesus’ Name, Amen”.
