The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ondo State has decorated 158 newly promoted personnel, comprising 27 officers and 131 marshals.

State Sector Commander, Dr. Samuel Ibitoye, who performed the decoration at the command headquarters in Akure, said the elevation was a call to greater responsibility.

He commended the Corps Marshal for approving the promotions, stressing that the ultimate vision of the FRSC was to guarantee safe motoring across the country.

According to him, “Today, 158 newly promoted staff of FRSC in Ondo State Command comprises 27 officers and 131 marshals decorated with their new ranks. So, for the promoted staff, know that your elevation comes with enormous responsibility, you must double your efforts now, you must work harder than before and live up to expectations.”

He charged those who missed out on promotion not to lose hope, urging all stakeholders to join hands with the corps to reduce crashes on Nigerian roads. “Let us remember that road safety is a collective responsibility and idea everybody must take ownership of,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Mr. Ololade Baale, who moved from Chief Route Commander to Assistant Corps Commander, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the corps for finding them worthy.

Baale assured that the newly promoted officers would remain committed to the FRSC’s mission. “We want to dedicate this promotion to the vision of the corps and we will be more loyal to the ideal of FRSC,” he said.
