Josephine Oguntoyinbo, a reporter with The Hope Newspaper has been honored by Chronicle Magazine as outstanding journalist of the year.
Oguntoyinbo was honoured on Sunday at the 10th anniversary of the Chronicle magazine, held at Sunbeth hotel, Akure, the state capital.
The Publisher, chronicle magazine, Mr Olaseni Oyesusi commended Oguntoyinbo for her outstanding performance in the media profession.
According to him, the award came after a thorough investigation done by the organization.
“Keep up the good works you are known for, do not relent in your activities and always remember that you are being watched”.
In her reaction, Oguntoyinbo appreciated the organization for the honor done her and adding she would continue to tow the good path.
“This is a great honor I’ll always remember, it will also encourage me to double my efforts”.
She, however, dedicated the award to God Almighty, her family and the entire Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State council.
Oguntoyinbo was awarded alongside 27 others, including the deputy speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abayomi Akinruntan, Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Olayato Aribo, Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, former Attorney General of Ondo State, Mr. Adekola Olawoye, SAN, Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Francis Akanbiemu, Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Adenike Ogunsola, Dr Olumiyiwa Adu, among others.
