Gov. Aiyedatiwa congratulates Pius Akinyelure on IDA’s award, hails his selfless service to humanity

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has congratulated Chief Pius Akinyelure on his award of excellence by Idanre Development Assembly (IDA).
Governor Aiyedatiwa stated that the Akinyelure’s award is well deserved, emphasising the importance of contributing to the development of one’s community.
The Governor hailed Akinyelure’s humanitarian services, adding that his award is a lesson to everyone to serve their community, their State and Nation.

“This is a call for more service to you mother land, keep doing what you are doing, the society is looking at you and noting everything”.
Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the group for bringing up such program to honour those who have done well for Idanre kingdom,, stressing that it will ginger other indigenes to contribute to the development of their community.
Earlier in his address, the President – General of IDA, Dr. Anthony Omolola, while congratulating the awardees notes that Chief Pius Akinyelure has contributed in no measure to the general development of Idanre kingdom and so worthy of the celebration. “We see him as the New Akindeko of Idanre kingdom”, he said.
He stressed that other awardees have also contributed their quota to progress and development of Idanre, adding that the event would be a yearly one in order to recognise and celebrate those that have contributed and are contributing to the development of Idanre.
He officially announced that the formation of Idanre Development Assembly Foundation (IDAF) will be chaired by Chief Pius Akinyelure as an arm of Idanre Development Assembly.
In his remarks, the Olowa of Idanre expressed his pride to be a father Pius Akinyelure, noting that his magnanimity in numerous ways to Idanre community and her people, which qualifies him for the civic reception.
“As the paramount ruler of this ancient kingdom, I declare that both Chief Pius Akinyelure and the group of awardees are indeed men and women who have brought honour not only to themselves and their families but to Idanre indigenes and the community in general”.
Commissioner for Water and sanitation Sunday Akinwalire in his goodwill message, thanked the governor for upgrading the status of the Obas in the Idanre kingdom. He also expressed gratitude for the groundbreaking projects initiated by the governor in Idanre, including efforts to collaborate with the Minister of Water Resources to ensure the provision of water in the local government area.
In his reaction, Chief Pius Akintelure who spoke on behalf of other awardees expressed his gratitude to the group for finding him worthy of the award.
Chief Akinyelure emphasized that this recognition would serve as a powerful motivation for him to continue and expand his efforts, not only for the development of Idanre but also for the betterment of Nigeria as a whole.
He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing positively to society and pledged to intensify his work in community development and nation-building. This recognition, he noted, reinforces the importance of selfless service and inspires him to strive for even greater achievements in the future.
Other illustrious sons and daughter who were awarded includes; Chief Gabriel Akin Deko (Post humous award), Prince Afolabi Ayinuola (Post humous award), Rtd. Hon Justice Sunday Akintan (Antemortem award) and Chief Mrs Omolara Ogomudia (Antemortem award).
The event, held at Olofin grammar School, Idanre had In attendance; The Deputy Governor, Dr.Olayide Adelami, Secretary to the State government, Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, Members of the State Executive council, Special Advisers, traditional rulers in Idanre kingdom, among other eminent personalities.
