By: Jimmysayo Adebiyi

High Chief Ijiti Samuel Aanu, the CEO of Ever-Shine Films & Travel Nig. Ltd, and Gbobaniyi of Isikan Land, has called upon governments at all levels to assemble a robust economic team capable of providing expert advice to steer Nigeria towards economic prosperity.

Addressing journalists in Akure, Ijiti emphasized the urgency of the situation, stressing that it’s time to prioritize national interest over political or regional affiliations, given the hardships faced by Nigerians.

He asserted that an objective evaluation of the government’s performance requires sufficient time in office, cautioning against assessing the situation solely through a political lens. According to Ijiti, Nigeria’s challenges transcend partisan politics and demand a collective effort to address them.

Ijiti urged the presidency to be transparent about the country’s realities, highlighting Nigeria’s failure to live up to its potential as the “Giant of Africa” since the advent of democracy in 1999.

He underscored the importance of redefining Nigeria’s value system and restructuring existing anomalies to unlock the nation’s full potential. Ijiti criticized past leaders for neglecting nation-building and warned of an ongoing existential crisis.

Highlighting the detrimental effects of centralized political power, Ijiti called for a restructuring of Nigeria’s federalism to promote fairness, equity, and local initiatives. He urged citizens to transcend ethnic and sectarian biases for the collective betterment of the nation.
