Independence day celebration: All hands must be on deck for peace to reign across Nigeria – Oladiji

As Nigeria marks her 64th independence anniversary, The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji has stressed that all hands must be on deck for peace to reign across the country.

In a statement issued by the Speaker on Tuesday, he noted that it is only a peaceful atmosphere that can trigger growth and development.

The Speaker commended the nation’s leaders who fought gallantly for the independence which we all enjoy today.

He urged Nigerins to continually offer prayers for the country to emerge from her current challenges stronger, better and greater.

While congratulating Nigerians for witnessing yet another round of celebration, Chief Oladiji stresses the need to live in peace and harmony so that the current efforts of our leaders can yield the desired results.

The Speaker commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his current reform agenda for the country, expressing hope that his efforts would yield positive results and the country will be better for it.

Chief Oladiji equally commends Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the reigning peace in Ondo state adding that the state is lucky to have him in the saddle.

On the governorship election in Ondo state, slated for next month, Chief Oladiji enjoins stakeholders to play the game by its rules.

While wishing everyone a happy Independence day celebration, the Speaker calls for moderate celebration in view of the prevailing economic challenges.
