Massive Decamping Looms In Idanre PDP As Chieftain Sets To Join APC

A standout chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Idanre, and a former House of Assembly candidate of the party, Hon. Aderemi Oyewole, popularly known as Gulder, is set to dump the umbrella party for the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Gulder, who is now the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Inter-party politics, is set to join officially the APC in a grandstyle on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Secretariat in Idanre by 12:00pm.

The political grassroots mobilizer is expected to Join the APC wirh thousands of PDP members in Idanre. Meanwhile, the decampees will be received into the APC by the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa,; Ondo State APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, and other APC leaders in Idanre.

Speaking on his planned defection, Gulder said that the decision to defect to APC was a well thought out one. He emphasized that the decision was also taken in his quest for the continuity of good governance, and peaceful political atmosphere in Ondo State.

“My decision to join APC is definitely well thought out. I have taken the decision because of my desire for the
continuity of good governance, and peaceful political atmosphere in our dear state. We are most impressed with the achievements and leadership style of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa thus far.

“It is however saying here that the real driving forces of PDP in Idanre are poised to decamp with me to the APC on Thursday. As a matter of fact, I can make bold to say that not less than 90% of PDP members in Idanre are now APC at heart, and we are fully prepared to work for the victory to Governor Aiyedatiwa.

“I also want to assure that Idanre PDP will soon become massively and rapidly depleted in a matter of few days from now. Truth is that the ship of PDP is sinking very fast, and I will not be surprised if there will only be one person left in Idanre PDP, on the eve of the governorship election. We are really itching to join the progressive party, and we are also determined to make our impacts felt on the day of election”, Oyewole assured.
