•Congratulates 10th Assembly members, pledges to work with Ondo Governor, Speaker

On Saturday 3rd, Ilaje Lawmaker alongside 25 Honourable members-elect were inaugurated into Ondo 10th Assembly by the provision of constitution after the dissolvement of Ondo 9th Assembly on Friday 2nd, 2023.

Subsequent to their inauguration, Hon. Abayomi Babatunde Akinruntan was nominated as the Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly by Hon. Princess Ogunlowo member elect Idanre constituency and seconded by Hon. Toyin Allen member elect Ese Odo Constituency after unanimous endorsement from other Honourable members.

While addressing the pressmen in tumultuous crowd after the inauguration, Rt. Hon. Akinruntan opined that, “I am well pleased and deeply moved by the expression of confidence and trust reposed in me by all Honourable members in electing me as the Deputy Speaker of the Ondo 10th Assembly.

“Not only have you entrusted me with the responsibility of Deputy Speaker but also being an effective legislator translating the people’s concern into workable proposals and building consensus to implement them for the betterment of Ondo State.”

However, he congratulated all Honourable members and wished them fruitful tenure in office. Rt Hon. Akinruntan pledges to work with the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Ondo 10th Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oladiji for robust legislative engagements.”
