Bishop Joshua Opayinka, the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Ondo State, has urged Nigerians to strengthen their prayer lives, work harder, and make prudent decisions as they navigate the challenges of 2025.

Speaking during an interactive session with journalists in Akure, Ondo State’s capital, Bishop Opayinka, who also serves as the Presiding Bishop of Glorious Tabernacle International, headquartered in Akure, encouraged Nigerians to remain resolute in their service to God as the new year unfolds.

He emphasized the importance of making God the center of one’s life, highlighting that true security and safety are found in Him.

The Bishop likened those who rely on worldly means of safety to those walking on busy roads or standing near the sea, where dangers are imminent.

He said that those who dwell in the “secret place of the Most High” are assured of divine protection.

Reflecting on the challenges of the past year, Bishop Opayinka commended Nigerians for their resilience.

He urged citizens to strive for greater productivity in 2025, advising business owners to expand their ventures and encouraging civil servants to explore additional income sources, such as farming or food production.

The Bishop also condemned the recent controversy surrounding the use of artificial intelligence by online media to depict Pastor E.A. Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in a controversial manner.

He called on those responsible to cease such actions, labeling them as harmful and urging repentance.

He further warned that negative actions will eventually lead to consequences.

In his New Year prayer, Bishop Opayinka sought divine grace and mercy for both Nigeria and Ondo State.

He also extended condolences to the Ondo State government and people following the passing of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the State Secretary to the Government, praying for strength and comfort for those affected by the loss.
