NIMASA has woefully failed Nigerians, Currently wasting Govt Resources—Dr. Musa

….As Dr. Urges FG to Arrest DG NIMASA

The former Airport Chairman of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Hon. Dr Segun Musa has said that the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA) seems to be confused and trying to confuse everyone the same way he confused Buhari.

Reacting to the news in which NIMASA Dr. Bashir Jamoh OFR, said the academia has a major role to play in the development of the Blue Economy in Nigeria.

According to Dr. Musa who totally disagree with the Dr. above statement in addition to the manner in which NIMASA has bogusly been wasting government funds “If I have my way I would call for his immediate arrest for wastage and turning the blue economy nomenclature to be a litmus test” .
Adding that “I’m sick and tired of Dr. talking about what he knows nothing about”.

“Are we a shipping nation? The answer is NO because being surrounded by water does not classify our country as a shipping nation unless and otherwise we are active players”.

“Again what makes us active players aside having a national fleet and private fleet with flags of convenience?
We must have a transparent Maritime policy that would conveniently address the challenges and solutions that would hence smooth voyage and safety at reasonable cost”.

“We need a total overhaul of this NIMASA if we need truly interested in moving our country’s economy forward. I have nothing personal against the DG but I did warn him before launching what he does not comprehend and also advised him to carry all related agencies along so that we can brainstorm and come out with something comprehensive that can be aligned to global standards”.

“He ignored my advice because he wanted to get credit he never worked for and now the only achievement is debating the blue economy at a different forum as a case study or point of further research”.
