ODHA Urges FG On Akure/Ondo Road Dualization

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have called on the Federal Government to consider the dualisation of the deplorable Akure/Ondo road in order to avert loss of lives and properties.

Speaking through the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon. Olamide Oladiji, the Lawmakers condemned the deplorable condition of the road, saying it is high time the Federal Government gave it necessary attention.

This was contained in a press statement made available to journalists by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Hon.Olatunji Oshati on Monday in Akure, Ondo State capital.

According to the Speaker, despite the fact that the road belongs to the Federal Government, adequate and temporary measures would soon be given to it by Ondo State Government through the intervention by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.

Oladiji who sympathized with the users of the road, assured that the difficulty they are currently facing would soon become a thing of the past.

He later, appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON for his various landmark achievements recorded in the State in the past 6 years, particularly in the area of infrastructure and security.

The Speaker further expressed pleasure over the current parlliative measure put in place by Ondo State Government, assuring that it would soon bring smiles to the faces of individuals across the State.
