Ondo Assembly Decries Dilapidated Federal Roads

The Ondo State House of Assembly, has once again decried the deplorable state of federal road Infrastructures within the State.
Rising from the parliamentary meeting held on Thursday, leadership and members of the Assembly described the situation of federal roads in the State as an eyesore.
Citing Elegbeka-Ifon road, Ipele-Idoani-Abuja road, Akure-Owena-Ondo road, Ado-Akure road which have all been washed away especially, by the recent rainfalls thereby leaving the road in state of complete disrepair, a situation that have left commuters plying the roads in pains and anguish.
In the statement issued by the Chairman House Committee on information, Oshati Olatunji , the House resolved once again to write a reminder letter to FERMA on the precarious state of these roads.
The Statement read ” The Speaker of the House, Olamide Oladiji, directed the Clerk of the House to write a letter to the Federal Agency without any further delay.
“The House empathized with residents of Ondo state and the road users over the unfortunate situation of Federal roads across the state. Assuring that it will leave no stone unturned at getting the attention of relevant agencies of Federal government to fix the roads as quick as possible.
“The House urge residents and road users in the State to be patient and be law abiding while solution is being pursued towards ameliorating the pains associated with the use of the roads.”
