Ondo Assembly’s PS, Ogunwumiju, Joins Warri Monarch on Tour of Port Aberdeen

Parliamentary Secretary of Ondo State House of Assembly and member representing Ondo West Constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju, on Friday, joined the retinue of the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III, to the Port of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

The trip to Port of Aberdeen is a study tour in relation to Warri Kingdom’s plan to re-open the Warri port.
Port of Aberdeen is an internationally acclaimed world class port, given its first rate infrastructure and expert supply chain.
Warri Kingdom hopes to tap into the Aberdeen’s experience, and more importantly, collaborate in terms of development since the Port of Aberdeen is currently expanding their infrastructure with its south Harbor, which is expected to come on stream in September 2023.

Ogunwumiju who is the Chairman, House Committee on works at Ondo State House of Assembly and a petroleum engineer by training, joined the delegation of the Olu of Warri on this visit essentially to gain exposure and insights into the project ahead of the Ondo State Deep Sea Port project.
“With the approval and onward construction of the ondo deep sea port, it is necessary to learn from one of the oldest ports in the world; one that is still evolving with trends, technology and innovation.” Ogunwumiju said.
