Ondo guber poll: Owo residents pledge massive votes for Aiyedatiwa

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Monday, took his campaign tour to Owo local government area of the State where he received assurance from the residents that they would vote for him during the election coming up in few days.

Recieving the Governor and his entourage in his palace, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye appreciated the Governor for his passion for the development of Owo and the appointment of owo indegenes into his cabinet.

Oba Ogunoye, however, assured governor Aiyedatiwa of the total support of all monarch in Owo local government and the people ahead of the November 16th governorship election.

“The people of Owo have made their choice, and we are resolved to vote en masse for Governor Aiyedatiwa as the next governor of Ondo State,” the monarch stated.

The Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for choosing him as his running mate and also for appointing indigenes of Owo in his cabinet.

Dr. Adelami emphasised the significance of these gestures to the people of Owo, urging them to show their appreciation with votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration is committed to the development of Owo and the entire state. He listens to the people, making him a leader who respects the needs of all and sundry,” Adelami added.

Responding, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised the people of Owo for their solidarity since assumption into office vowed to complete all legacy projects initiated by former governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He noted that his administration is committed at ensuring better welfare of the people improve subvention or institutions in Ondo state including the upgrading of the proposed conversion of the Rufus Giwa polytechnic to a university.

Addressing his large number of supporters from various communities, including Isuada, Ipele, and Uso, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming turnout and urged supporters to transform their enthusiasm into votes on 16th November 2024.

“This week is a Lucky week,” he remarked, stressing his optimism for success in the election.

Dr. Awodeyi Apata, an APC chieftain, speaking on behalf of the people of Owo, reaffirmed the community’s trust in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, commending his dedication to the welfare of the state.
