We’ll Continue To Support SDG In Helping Less Privileges – ODHA

Hon. Tiamiyu Fatai Atere, Chairman, House committee on Sustainable Development Goal and Intergovernmental Affairs, Ondo State House of Assembly has pledged the legislative support for Sustainable Development Goal to help the needy and vulnerables.

He made this known during a familiarization visit to the Sustainable Development Goal and Intergovernmental Affairs in Akure on Monday.

According to him, the visit was not to witch haunt anyone but to familiarize and cooperate with the agency for the development of the state.

Atere appreciated the agency for their efforts in helping the needy and the vulnerables in the State.

While advising the management to always carry the House of Assembly along in whatever they are doing, he opined that the importance of SDG cannot be overlooked.

Other committee members applauded the agency for the great achievements recorded in the state, urging them not to relent in their good works.

Earlier in her address, the Special Adviser to Governor Akeredolu on Public and Intergovernmental relations, Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu revealed that the agency is responsible for mining and getting the poor together, making them to enjoy life and be part of the governance.

She added that the Agency has a Social register with over 1 million householders and about 750 individual families that has been involved in it.

“I can say that we have done what is humanly possible to give to our people and with your cooperation, we will be able to spread more”

She, pleaded for more support, cooperation and understanding from the 10th Assembly.
