400 widows benefit, as Ondo APC Chieftain, ‘Major Dee’ empowers party members
No fewer than 400 widows have benefitted from a mega empowerment programme organized by a leading Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, Hon Adewole Ayodeji, whose pseudonym is Major Dee.
The widows who were taken aback by the unsolicited gesture, got grinding machines, food items in the spirit of Christmas.
At the presentation of the gifts packaged to celebrate Christmas and Hon. Ayodeji, the Managing Director of Major Dee Motors, who thanked the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and Akure indigenes, said the initiative was an annual donation to the less privileged, adding that widows will henceforth get monthly stipend to boost their various businesses.
He said this year’s package is the fifth edition 5th edition to be organised by MAJOR DEE FOUNDATION for residents and party faithful in the local government area.
The former House of Assembly Aspirant said beneficiaries were empowered with grinding machines and gifted food stuff and cash to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
APC leaders and widows from the constituency also went home with food stuff and cash, commended Hon Ayodeji Adewole for his humanitarian services to Akure South local government people.
Some of the food stuff and other gifts were inscribed with various APC Candidates for the 2023 general election including the Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
