As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, has urged citizens to pray for the nation’s continued unity and progress in order to achieve a common purpose.

In a goodwill message personally signed by the Speaker, he called on Nigerians to join hands in building a stronger and better country through hard work, loyalty, and love for the nation. He also paid tribute to the heroes who fought for Nigeria’s independence, describing them as “true patriots whose sacrifices remain timeless.”

Oladiji commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his bold initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience, courage, and tenacity would restore Nigeria’s rightful place as the giant of Africa.

“Your transformative economic reforms are a testament to your courage, conviction, and patriotism. Your steadfast commitment to national unity, economic revitalisation, and democratic governance remains an inspiration to all Nigerians”.

The Ondo Speaker also applauded the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the landmark achievements recorded since assuming office, noting that his administration has continued to make significant strides in governance.

Extending warm greetings to Nigerians at home and abroad, Chief Oladiji prayed for divine guidance as the country pursues a brighter and more prosperous future.
