Ondo State House of Assembly has set Thursday, 19th June to Monday, 23rd June, 2025 to screen the 12 Commissioner nominees in the State.

It would be recalled that Governor Aiyedatiwa, on the 12th of June, sent the names of the Commissioner nominees to the House of Assembly.

At a plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji noted that in line with Section 192(1 & 2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), the process of screening the Commissioner nominee forwarded by the Governor shall be undertaken by the Committee of the whole house under his leadership.

He assured the people of Ondo State that they, as their representatives shall do thorough screening and report back as soon as possible.

He urged the Commissioner nominees to come along with their valid certificates and updated curriculum vitae.

The majority leader of the house, Hon. Olatunji Oshati representing Ose Constituency had earlier moved the motion of approval for the letter sent to the house by Gov. Aiyedatiwa for nominating in persons as commissioner and was seconded by the Hon. Dr Chris Ogunlana who represented Irele Constituency.
