The Ondo State House of Assembly, on Friday, screened four additional commissioner nominees during a session held by the Committee of the whole house.

The nominees outlined their visions and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the state’s development agenda under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Those screened include Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu, Ayodele Akande, Dr. Tob Loko and Mrs Seun Osamaye.

Appearing before the Assembly for the third time, Otunba Akinlosotu promised effective leadership and stronger ministry performance.

“The commissioner makes the ministry. I’ll bring innovation, synergy, and stakeholder engagement to actualise the Governor’s vision. This time, Ondo State will move forward,” he assured.

Ayodele Akande emphasised unity and team collaboration as key to innovation.

“There must be peace and unity. I’ll bring everyone on board to understand the challenges and chart a roadmap to deliver on Mr Governor’s ‘Our Ease’ agenda,” he stated.

Dr Tob Loko, who until his nomination, was a member of the State Waste Management Board, also praised the Assembly’s professionalism.

“I am prepared and determined to justify the confidence reposed in us. The screening was fair and professional,” he noted.

Dr Osamaye, who currently serves as Special Adviser on Women Affairs, commended the Assembly’s conduct, pledging to deliver on the Governor’s mandate.

“By God’s grace, when confirmed, I will discharge the mandate of our Governor. Everything we do will be to actualise his vision for a better and prosperous Ondo State,” she said.

The screening exercise is expected to conclude next Monday.
