Amotekun opens recruitment for 5th batch, check how to apply here

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has commenced the recruitment of its fifth batch of personnel, unveiling comprehensive guidelines for prospective applicants across the state.

In a statement signed by Muyideen Fabunmi on behalf of the Corps Commander, the agency said the new recruitment drive aligns with the state government’s commitment to strengthening security and protecting lives and property in Ondo State.

According to the Corps, the recruitment—tagged BR05—follows the mandate of the Amotekun Law established on March 4, 2020 and amended on July 13, 2022, empowering the outfit to gather intelligence, collaborate with similar agencies in the South-West, and support law enforcement efforts against kidnapping, terrorism, farm destruction, cultism, highway robbery and other criminal activities.

The agency said only indigènes of Ondo State or persons of Yoruba extraction who have lived in the state for at least 10 years are eligible to apply.

It listed mandatory documents to include proof of local government of origin, evidence of development levy payment for no fewer than three years, and a valid National Identity Card or voter’s card.

Applicants are expected to possess relevant paramilitary or security experience, or verifiable skills in areas such as local hunting, mechanical work, construction, electrical and electronics engineering, plumbing, welding, tailoring, ICT and related fields. Candidates must also be “spiritually endowed,” not below 20 years of age, and present recent physical and mental fitness reports issued by a government hospital.

The Corps further stated that proof of good character endorsed by a Notary Public and the Chairman of the Local Government Traditional Council or a Justice of the Peace (JP) is mandatory.

Applicants must also show evidence of residence in any part of the state for at least 10 years, including a minimum of three years in their current community, with attestation from a Community Development Association member.

According to the agency, applications are to be submitted online via the official website from Monday, December 1 to Monday, December 8, 2025. Completed forms and supporting documents are to be enclosed in sealed envelopes and forwarded to the Amotekun Command Headquarters, Alagbaka, Akure.

The statement added that shortlisted candidates will be contacted via SMS beginning December 8, 2025, while enquiries may be directed to the agency’s office or the designated phone line, 08079999989.
