The Omoluabi Estate and Golf Resort project was officially launched on Wednesday in Akure, marking the commencement of what is projected to become one of Ondo State’s major residential and recreational developments.
At the ceremony, the Managing Director of Leisure Court, Bldr. Segun Abolaji, said the initiative demonstrated the company’s confidence in the state’s economic prospects.
He described Ondo State as a fast-growing region that offers “a unique opportunity for investors,” adding that the company’s expansion aligned with the government’s effort to attract development and improve residents’ quality of life.
Abolaji said the estate introduces a standard of urban living not currently available in the state.
According to him, Omoluabi Estate is “something new, something that has never been done here,” noting that the project offers a refreshing alternative to existing developments.
He explained that the estate will feature a mini-golf course, wide green areas, children’s playgrounds and both residential and commercial units.
He added that the project is designed for a diverse range of buyers within its purchasing bracket.
Plots, he noted, are currently on pre-launch sale between ₦1.5m and ₦2.8m, with prices expected to increase in January.
Abolaji also said the estate will accommodate facilities such as a shopping mall, hospital, hotel, and several relaxation centres.
He stated that Leisure Court has delivered similar projects in Lagos, Abuja, and Osogbo, expressing confidence that Akure is the next strategic location for expansion.
The estate layout consultant engaged by Leisure Court, Dr Osasanmi Gbadebo, described the estate as a new model of premium living in Akure.
He said the development blends residential, recreational, and public-use spaces to enhance convenience and improve the lifestyle of future residents.
According to him, the estate will operate as a gated community with two access points and round-the-clock security.
He added that the layout includes a five-star hotel, shopping mall, place of worship, crèche and nursery school, health centre, and an artisan hub.
Dr Gbolabo noted that strict environmental policies will regulate activities within the estate, including rules on animal rearing, pet control, fencing standards, and roof types.
He further confirmed that the geotechnical survey conducted on the site indicates that the land is fully suitable for construction, with no waterlogged areas and provisions for both bungalows and duplexes.
Others at the event includes: the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, (Represented), Commissioner for Agriculture, Leye Emmanuel Akinola, and Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Johnson Alabi.
