As Owo Local Government Area readies for a warm reception for Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, during his visit to the ancient town, stakeholders have described the tour as timely and commendable.
The visit to Owo is part of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s ongoing tour of the state’s 18 local government areas, aimed at deepening grassroots governance, strengthening direct engagement with communities and assessing ongoing and completed development projects across Ondo State.
Welcoming the Governor ahead of the visit, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Dr. ’Bunmi Eniayewu, a retired Permanent Secretary and former President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ondo State, said Governor Aiyedatiwa deserves a loud ovation for his people-oriented leadership style and commitment to inclusive governance.
According to him, the visit will provide another opportunity for meaningful interaction between the state government and the people at the grassroots, while reinforcing public confidence in the administration’s development agenda.
Owo, noted for its rich cultural heritage and strategic importance in Ondo State, is set to receive the Governor with enthusiasm in appreciation of his developmental strides and responsiveness to grassroots concerns.
Community leaders, traditional institutions, workers and residents, it was learnt, have expressed readiness to engage constructively with the Governor during the visit.
Dr. Eniayewu said the people of Owo remain optimistic that the Governor’s tour would further strengthen collaboration between the state government and local stakeholders, deepen mutual understanding and fast-track development in the local government area.
He wished Governor Aiyedatiwa a peaceful and successful visit to Owo and continued success in advancing people-centred governance across Ondo State.
