NAGAFF president urges members to uphold professionalism, compliance

The National President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders has called on members of the association to embrace professionalism, regulatory compliance and innovation as the freight forwarding sector enters the new year.

In a New Year message to members, signed by the National President, High Chief fwdr. Hon. Tochukwu E. Ezisi, the NAGAFF leader said the previous year, despite its challenges, underscored the resilience, unity and commitment of freight forwarders to the ideals of the association.

Ezisi described the new year as an opportunity for the association to strengthen its professional standards, expand its relevance within the maritime and logistics industry, and contribute more meaningfully to national revenue generation.

He urged members to conduct their operations in line with existing regulations, noting that compliance remains essential for transparency, integrity and the long-term sustainability of the industry.

According to him, professionalism should be seen as the foundation upon which trust, credibility and enduring success in freight forwarding are built, stressing that growth must be pursued responsibly.

The NAGAFF president also encouraged members to explore innovative approaches that would enhance efficiency and revenue while maintaining discipline and unity across the sector.

He expressed optimism that the new year would bring increased opportunities, progress and shared prosperity for freight forwarders nationwide.

Ezisi reaffirmed NAGAFF’s commitment to maintaining its leadership position in the maritime and logistics space, adding that collective effort remained key to achieving the association’s goals.

He concluded by wishing members and their families a peaceful, prosperous and rewarding year ahead.
