The President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ondo State chapter, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola, has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on the occasion of his 61st birthday. He described the Governor as a compassionate, people-oriented leader with an unwavering commitment to workers’ welfare and grassroots development.
In a statement issued in Akure, Comrade Akinrinlola noted that the Governor’s 61st birthday provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on his administration’s remarkable support for local government workers and sustained reforms within the public service.
Highlighting key achievements, the NULGE President commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s approval of Grade Level 17 for Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), describing it as a historic milestone that has restored fairness, professionalism, and structured career progression within the local government system.
He further praised the Governor for the prompt implementation of the new minimum wage, payment of outstanding salary arrears, leave bonuses, COVID-19 allowances, and hazard allowances for health workers. According to him, these interventions have significantly boosted workers’ morale and productivity across the state.
Akinrinlola also lauded the Governor’s commitment to political inclusion, noting that local government employees are now being considered for appointments and leadership roles. He described this development as a major step toward participatory governance and democratic equity.
While extending his heartfelt wishes, Comrade Akinrinlola prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Governor Aiyedatiwa, asking for sound health, renewed strength, wisdom, and understanding to enable him to steer the affairs of the state effectively.
He concluded by describing the Governor’s life at 61 as one marked by service, dedication, and purposeful leadership, expressing confidence that the years ahead would usher in greater accomplishments for Ondo State and its people.
