The Special Assistant to the Governor on Afforestation, Bidemi Obayangban, has urged residents of Ondo State to continue supporting Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, stressing that collective backing of the current administration remains crucial to the state’s development.
Obayangban, who congratulated the people of the state on the 50th anniversary of its creation, called on citizens, particularly those from Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, to act as worthy ambassadors of Ondo State wherever they find themselves and to consistently project the state in a positive light.
Reflecting on activities marking the anniversary, he said the recent walking and jogging exercise with Governor Aiyedatiwa was both engaging and beneficial, noting that it promoted fitness, unity and positive interaction among residents ahead of the celebrations.
According to him, citizens should desist from speaking ill of the state, especially in the diaspora, and instead support initiatives capable of strengthening peace, unity and development.
The afforestation aide also appealed to residents to remain peace-loving and to throw their weight behind Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Ease Agenda, describing sustained public support as vital to the continued progress of Ondo State.
