The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, has called on Christians to remember Nigeria in their prayers as they celebrate Easter, urging them to reflect the virtues of love, humility, and unity exemplified by Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message personally signed in Akure, Oladiji charged Christian faithful to imbibe the spirit of holiness and humility demonstrated by Christ, whose resurrection symbolizes hope and redemption for mankind.
He encouraged them to uphold the doctrine of faith and hope, stressing the need for believers to translate these values into actions that promote peace and harmony in society.
The Speaker further admonished Christians in Ondo State to remain committed to the overall development of the state by fostering perseverance, unity and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
He emphasized that such virtues are essential for building a stable and progressive society.
Oladiji also expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as landmark achievements recorded by his administration since assuming office.
He prayed that the resurrection of Jesus Christ would bring joy, peace, and renewed hope to all Nigerians.
While wishing Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration, the Speaker urged them to remain steadfast in their faith and committed to values that promote a better and more united society.
