The Primary Election Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful conclusion of the party’s primary elections across the nine federal constituencies in Ondo State, describing the exercise as peaceful, transparent and credible.

Chairman of the committee, Hon. Iboroma Harry Dabibi, disclosed this during a press briefing on Sunday, saying the committee fulfilled its mandate in line with the constitution of the party and the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Dabibi expressed appreciation to the National Working Committee of the APC for entrusting the committee with the assignment, noting that members approached the exercise with “a clear sense of duty, impartiality and commitment.”

According to him, the peaceful conduct of the primaries reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy and unity.

“You would recall that when we arrived in the state on Friday, May 15, 2026, we reiterated our commitment to conduct free, fair and credible primary elections that every member of the party would be proud to be associated with,” he said.

“The committee did not only conduct a free and transparent primary, the committee conducted a peaceful election which reflected the yearnings and aspirations of our party members.”

He also commended the leadership of the APC in Ondo State, party stakeholders and members for maintaining order before, during and after the exercise.

“The atmosphere before, during and after the primary election was calm and orderly, a clear demonstration of the growing internal democracy and political maturity within our party,” he added.
