Oshati Hails Aiyedatiwa Over Approval of Oba-Ikun-Afo-Idoani Road Project

The Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly and member representing Ose State Constituency, Hon. Chief Olatunji Oshati (Maxima), has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for approving the reconstruction of the Oba-Ikun-Afo-Idoani Road.

Oshati gave the commendation shortly after the announcement yesterday in an interview with newsmen, describing the governor as a promise keeper whose administration remains committed to the development of all parts of the state.

According to the lawmaker, the road project is a long-awaited intervention that will bring relief to residents of the Irekari communities who have endured years of hardship due to the deplorable condition of the road.

He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a landmark decision that has brought joy to the people of the area.

“This project means so much to our people. For years, residents of the Irekari communities have faced serious challenges because of the poor state of the road. With this approval, hope has been renewed and relief is finally in sight,” Oshati said.

The lawmaker assured the governor of the continued support of the people of Irekari, noting that the road reconstruction would further strengthen the bond between the government and the communities.

He stated that Governor Aiyedatiwa had etched his name in gold in the hearts of the people through the approval of the project and other developmental initiatives across the state.

Oshati also appreciated the people of Afo, Idoani, Idogun and Imeri for their patience and unwavering support, assuring them of more developmental projects under the present administration.

He further commended traditional rulers, community leaders and youths in the Irekari axis for their persistent but peaceful advocacy for the reconstruction of the road, describing their efforts as worthwhile and instrumental in attracting government’s attention to the project.

The lawmaker expressed optimism that the road project would enhance economic activities, reduce insecurity, improve transportation and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the affected communities.
