The Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has expressed that converting waste into wealth will help reduce economic hardship across the nation.

Governor Aiyedatiwa while playing host to Nigeria Association of Auctioneers in his office on Tuesday lauded the innovative initiative of turning waste into wealth, emphasizing its significant contribution to the economy.

According to him, “The initiative of turning waste into wealth is commendable and stresses the ingenuity needed to address economic challenges. Repurposing materials not only mitigates environmental impact but also stimulates economic growth.”

Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the Auctioneers Association for their proactive stance in addressing economic challenges. “The association’s aim and objective is a testament to your commitment to finding innovative solutions for our economic well-being not just in ondo state but as a nation”

The State Chairman of Auctioneers, Chief Adedoyin Oni, who led the visit expressed the members’ condolences on the demise of the late governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Congratulated the Governor on his assumption of duty.

Chief Oni stressed the association’s commitment to converting waste into wealth and contributing to government revenue.

He, on behalf of the association pledged their unwavering loyalty to the governor’s administration during the visit, stating, “We are dedicated to transforming waste into resources that benefit our economy and society as a whole. Your Excellency, we stand ready to support your vision for our state.”

During the visit, the association presented a document titled “A Short Write-Up on Waste: Running the Affairs in the Face of Global Economic Meltdown” for the governor’s review. Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed keen interest in delving into the document to gain a comprehensive understanding of its content and implications.

He reacted, “I look forward to reviewing this document in detail. It is crucial for us to explore innovative strategies to navigate the economic landscape effectively.”
