The Independent Campaign Group (I.C.G) has congratulated the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Ondo State; Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

The Convener of the group, Prince Bayo Ikubuwaje while addressing the press in Akure along with the State Coordinator of the group, Prince Abiodun Ogunduboye and other members of the executive asserted that the victory of Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the primary election is not unexpected and a testimonial to the show of love and acceptance by party members in the State.

He remarked that “the Governor got the highest number of votes in the primary election held on 20th April 2024, and was declared the winner by Governor Usman Ododo-led electoral committee on Sunday.”

The State Coordinator reiterated the commitment of the group (I.C.G) to democratic principles in Nigeria in general and in the Sunshine State in particular. He further eulogized some good leadership qualities in the Governor which helped his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming November governorship election in the state in November 2024.

The Convener asserts that Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will win the governorship election slated for November 2024 eventually with an expansive margin because the good people of Ondo State are solidly behind him.

The Convener reassured the Governor of unalloyed support from members of the group across the 18 local government areas of the state towards the general election in November.
