Planned Protest: Ondo Assembly Speaker, Oladiji appeal to Nigerian youths

By Precious Oluwole

The Speaker Ondo State House Of Assembly, Rt. Honourable (Chief) Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi has appealed to Nigerian youths to jettison the proposed nationwide protest scheduled for August.

Chief Oladiji entreated the youth to embrace dialogue in resolving issues with the authorities.

The Speaker noted that such protests in the past had ended in violence and wanton destruction of public property.

He called on parents, spiritual leaders and public spirited individuals and bodies to speak to the youth on the need to embrace peace in the overall interest of the country.

Chief Oladiji expressed hope in the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Tinubu led Federal government, saying it would address all grievances and bring succour to the teeming masses of the country.

According to the Speaker, “no positive changes are accomplished on a platter of gold.”

“There can be no gains without pains.”

“There is however, light after the tunnel.”

Chief Oladiji noted that the radical reforms being championed by the Tinubu led Federal government would in the long run benefit the Nigerian masses.
