Eid-el-Maulud: Adeyeri greets Ondo Muslims, advocates unity, peaceful co-existence

Hon. Adeyeri Stephen, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has felicitated Muslims across Ondo State and Nigeria as they celebrate the Eid-el-Maulud.

He used the occasion to call for greater unity, love, and peaceful coexistence, highlighting these virtues as essential for the progress and development of the nation.

In his message, Adeyeri stressed the importance of fostering harmonious relationships among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, noting that such unity is crucial for Nigeria to reach its full potential.

“I rejoice with our Muslim compatriots as they mark the sacred occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. This period offers us an opportunity to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet, who stood for empathy, love, and peaceful coexistence. His selfless service to humanity remains a timeless model for all of us, irrespective of our beliefs,” Adeyeri stated.

He further explained that the teachings of the Prophet, particularly those that emphasize unity and compassion, are much needed in today’s Nigeria.

Adeyeri urged Nigerians to rise above the prevailing socio-political and economic challenges by fostering a spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and understanding among themselves.

“As we face the numerous challenges confronting our nation, it is important that we come together as one people, bound by the common goal of building a peaceful and prosperous nation. We must embrace the spirit of being our brothers’ keepers, offering support and care for one another, especially during trying times. This is the only way we can collectively chart a path towards greatness for Nigeria,” he said.

He continued, “Peaceful coexistence is the bedrock of any successful society. It is through love, unity, and peace that we can overcome our differences and work together to move our country forward. As we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, let us imbibe his virtues and contribute our own quota towards nation-building.”

However, Adeyeri wished all Muslims a joyful and hitch-free Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

“May this Eid-el-Maulud celebration bring joy, peace, and prosperity to our Muslim brothers and sisters, and to the entire nation. Let us continue to work together in love and unity to achieve the Nigeria of our dreams,” he concluded.
