Ahead of the Saturday local government elections in Ondo State, the ten councilor candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifedore Local Government Area have pledged to work closely with Hon. Dipo Ajibola, the executive chairman of the council, to ensure impactful governance if elected.

The councilors, led by their coordinator, Orisunmibare Fasua, assured that they are committed to addressing the aspirations of the people and supporting developmental initiatives across the local government. Speaking to journalists at Igbara-Oke, the headquarters of Ifedore, Fasua described the candidates as grassroots mobilizers who are dedicated to complementing Hon. Ajibola’s intervention programs and policies.

Fasua stated that the councilors, if elected, would prioritize replicating the chairman’s achievements in all wards of the council, ensuring that development reaches every corner of Ifedore.

Comrade Oluyi Wasiu Adekunle, representing Ilara Zone, commended Hon. Ajibola’s proactive measures to tackle security challenges and improve governance. He called on residents of Ifedore to come out en masse and vote for APC, highlighting that the chairman has laid the foundation for meaningful progress.

Similarly, Igbiloba Kolawole, representing Igbara-Oke Ward 1, expressed confidence in APC’s ability to secure a landslide victory. He noted that messages of hope and enlightenment had been disseminated throughout the local government, assuring residents that the party is committed to delivering better days ahead. Kolawole added that APC’s previous successes in elections are a testament to its dedication to the welfare of the people.

Gbadamosi Yakubu, the candidate for Ilara Ward 2, lauded the Ondo State Electoral Commission for conducting the local government election, stating that electing council officials is far better than relying on caretaker committees. He affirmed that APC candidates had conducted grassroots campaigns, meeting stakeholders at ward and unit levels to ensure widespread support.

Campaign Director-General for APC in Ifedore, Hon. Adebusuyi Idowu Pius, expressed optimism about the party’s chances of victory. He highlighted the unity among the candidates and their commitment to working alongside Hon. Ajibola to bring sustainable development to the local government.

The APC councilor candidates reiterated their readiness to serve, urging residents to support the party at the polls to secure a brighter future for Ifedore Local Government.
