The Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo and Delta States, His Eminence, Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, on the occasion of his birthday, marked on December 25.
In a goodwill message, the Aare Musulumi described Governor Makinde as a visionary and inclusive leader whose style of governance reflects commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the people of Oyo State.
He commended the Governor’s efforts in promoting peaceful coexistence, infrastructural development and people-centred policies aimed at improving the quality of life of residents across the state.
While felicitating with the Governor, the Aare Musulumi urged him to continue placing the interest and welfare of the people above all other considerations, noting that leadership remains a sacred trust that must be exercised with fairness, compassion and accountability.
He further encouraged Governor Makinde to remain attentive to the yearnings of the people, particularly the vulnerable, and to sustain policies that foster unity, justice and sustainable development in Oyo State.
“As you celebrate your birthday, I pray that Almighty Allah grants you long life, sound health, wisdom and renewed strength to continue serving humanity and the people of Oyo State with sincerity of purpose and the fear of God,” he said.
The Aare Musulumi concluded by wishing Governor Makinde a peaceful birthday celebration and many more years of purposeful leadership and service.
