Akeredolu was a visionary leader– Ondo Assembly

Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have described the immediate past Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as a courageous and selfless leader who devoted his life for God and humanity while on earth.

Expressing this on behalf of other lawmakers during the evening of tribute and service of songs for the late Governor, held at Jogor event center in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Speaker of the House, Chief) Olamide Oladiji, said the people of Ondo State would not forget his leadership quality and unwavering commitment to the development of the State and Nigeria at large.

This was contained in a press statement made available to pressmen by the Chairman, House Committee on Information,Chief Olatunji Oshati.

According to the Speaker, the late Governor lived a purposeful and selfless life, commending him for his belief in the rule of law, just as there was a robust relationship between the Executive and legislative arms of government.

“He was an embodiment of courage and tenacity who stood on the side of truth in every situation. Aketi would be greatly missed for his good work in Ondo State”, he said.

Among the Lawmakers that accompanied the Speaker to the event were his Deputy, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, the House majority leader, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, the House Minority leader, Hon. Oguntodu Olajide, Hon. Fasonu Oluwarotimi, Princess Oluwatosin Ogunlowo Ajirotutu, Hon. Daodu Oluwatoyin Raymond, Hon. Gbegudu Ololade, Hon. Afe Felix.

Also in the entourage were, Hon. Tope Agbulu, Hon. Akinsuroju Akindolani, Hon. Rotimi Abitogun, Hon. Ifabiyi Olatunji, Hon. Ologede Kolawole, Hon. Olatunji Oshati and Hon. Atinuke Witherspoon.

He later prayed to God to grant him eternal rest.
