Comptroller Joe Anani has assumed office as the new Customs Area Controller of the Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
He took over from Assistant Comptroller General Tenny Mankini Daniyan, who has been elevated to the rank of ACG.
Speaking shortly after receiving the mantle of leadership, Anani pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor.
He also congratulated Daniyan on his promotion, describing it as well deserved.
In his remarks, Daniyan commended officers of the command and port stakeholders for their cooperation during his tenure.
He urged them to extend the same support to Anani to enable him to succeed.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port, Comptroller Frank Oyenka, leaders of maritime associations, representatives of government agencies at the port, as well as friends and associates of the outgoing and incoming controllers.
