CAC Regional Pastor, Obiwale Inducts Akungba Akoko Zonal Superintendent

– Urges Christians to Keep Faith Alive

The Odubanjo Regional Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Gideon Obiwale has urged Christians to remain steadfast in faith and trust that God can revive what may seem completely lost.

He said this on Saturday, November 22, 2025, during the induction service of the Akungba Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Pius Olajide, and his wife, Dr. Esther Olajide, at the Oke-Isegun Zonal Headquarters, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state.

While exhorting the congregation, Obiwale emphasized the theme of the sermon, “Dry bones shall rise again” by stating that no situation is too dead for God to revive, just as he did in Ezekiel 37:1-10.

He therefore enjoined Christians to hold on to God tightly regardless of their situations or happenings in the society.

The Regional Superintendent further appealed to the church to cooperate with the newly inducted Zonal Superintendent for the spiritual and infrastructural progress of the church.

While responding to the new call, Pastor Olajide remarked that the Regional Superintendent has been an exemplary leader and a great source of inspiration for him, which has served as a template for his pastoral duties in the church.

Olajide, who implored Christians to remain vigilant and prayerful, also condemned the recent attack on Christians, particularly the attack on a CAC in Eruku, Kwara state, sympathizing with the victims and their families.

“May the Lord console the families of the victims and give them the grace and fortitude to bear the loss. I urge all Christians to be prayerful concerning the situations of our country because if we keep our faith in him alive, we shall be victorious at the end,” he said.

The inductee further expressed appreciation to the Church for its support and for the confidence it has placed in his vision for the zone, pledging to remain faithful in his calling and to lead the congregation with dedication and Godly wisdom.

In his goodwill message, the Church’s Secretary, Elder Tomisin Babaleye commended Pastor Olajide for his remarkable achievements and impact on the church.

According to him, “It is rare to witness such transformation within a church community in so little time, but through the grace of God and the leadership of this humble servant, we have experienced both spiritual and physical growth.”

Babaleye affirmed confidence in the Pastor’s leadership, even as he asked God to grant him wisdom and strength to advance the church’s growth and development.

Another church leader and a former Registrar of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Elder (Dr.) Michael Ayeerun, noted that the induction ceremony is the culmination of Pastor Olajide’s hard work, integrity, and dedication to God’s work which has promoted him to the position of Zonal Superintendent.

He described him as a man of prayer and an anointed man of God whose appointment is satisfactory to every member.

Present at the service were clerics and dignitaries from all walks of life, including: D/S Pastors Kayode Awe, Toluwalase Ehinola; and Pastors Babatope Ojo, C. O. Adelabu, Tunde Ekunniyi, David Ademola, Olu Oyewole, and Emmanuel Otunlape; as well as Evangelists Olorunosebi Anjorin, and Victor Atunramu, among others.
