Children’s day celebration: Ondo Speaker, Oladiji vows stronger push for child rights act

As Children in Ondo State join their counterparts all over the country to mark this year Children’s day, the Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Olamide Oladiji has assured that all efforts would be put in place to promote the Child Rights Act(2003) in the State.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the Speaker, he explained that the Act is expected to guarantee the right of every child to survival, protection, participation and development.
Describing children as gifts from God,he expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State,Dr.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for reviving Children’s parliament after over 10 years of being inactive
According to him, Ondo State House of Assembly would continue to support relevant authorities in ensuring that children are given a voice, assuring that the Children’s parliament would equally provide them a platform for meaningful engagement.
“You are the pride of our dear country.You are the feature leaders, innovators and change _makers .Keep shining, exploring and dreaming big”,the statement reads.
While felicitating all children in the State on this auspicious day, Oladiji wished them a day filled with fun and adventure.
