Community Developer, Chris Oyesanmi Bags Topshot Award for Grassroots Impact

Renowned community developer and advocate, Hon. Chris Oyesanmi, was among the distinguished recipients at the 2025 Topshot Hall of Fame Awards, where he was honoured for his outstanding contributions to grassroots development and civic engagement.

The award, presented in recognition of his tireless efforts in empowering underserved communities, promoting inclusive growth, and fostering local leadership, highlights his enduring impact across various development fronts in Ondo State.

Held in Akure, the event brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, traditional institutions, and civil society, all gathered to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated excellence and service in their respective spheres.

Ably represented by award winning Publisher of Hero Magazine, Dr. Akinbiola, Hon. Oyesanmi dedicated the award to the people he serves, noting that the honour would further inspire his commitment to community development.

“This recognition means a lot, not just to me, but to every community voice I represent,” he said. “It’s a reminder that every act of service, no matter how small, counts.”

He also commended Topshot News for sustaining a platform that values and uplifts leaders of impact. “I salute the vision behind this initiative. You are not just informing the public, you are shaping a culture of honour and accountability,” he remarked.

Among other prominent awardees were Amb. Anu Ijiti, Adaja of Isinkan, who received the Exemplary Leadership Award for Community Service; Mr. Sesan Ajetomobi, GMD of Autoprobe Technical Services, named Topshot Man of the Year; and Mrs. Olamiposi Odofin, Media Director at the Governor’s Office, awarded Face of Ondo State Media among others.

The event also featured a keynote lecture by urban development expert Dr. Gbolabo Osunsanmi FNITP, titled “Retrospective Perspective on Leadership, Governance and Development in Ondo State,” offering a critical analysis of the state’s socio-political trajectory.

Chairperson of the occasion, Dr. Rhoda Makinde, praised the initiative for spotlighting individuals who are building legacies of excellence through service and integrity.
