Cooperate with visitation panel, Gov Aiyedatiwa tells UNIMED management

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has urged the management of University of Medical Sciences, Ondo to cooperate with the visitation panel in order to get the true picture of the institution.

The Governor gave this charge while playing host to the management of UNIMED in his office on Tuesday.

While commending the efforts of the former Vice Chancellor, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, he congratulated Prof. Adolphus for taking up the role of the Acting Vice Chairman of the institution.

He also applauded the management officers of the institution for holding forth

The Governor noted that the Visitation panel is not set up for witch hunting or to look for scapegoat, but to interact and gather more information about the institution and know how far they fair.

He also stressed that the report of the visitation panel will be thoroughly scrutinized in order to make an accurate decision for more development of the institution.

Earlier in his remarks, the Acting Vice Chancellor of UNIMED, Prof. Adolphus Odogun Loto appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for his continuous support to the growth and development of the institution, especially the 500 million for the senate building, pledging to build one that is of good standard.

Panel members are working very hard everyday, gathering information from every angle of the institution. ” We are cooperating with them to give them the necessary information needed in making up their reports.

“The constitution of the panel has eased a lot of tension and there’s substantial peace in the institution now”, he concluded.
