Deji receives special car gift to mark 10th coronation anniversary

…….Deji holds prayer and praise session to commemorate event

The Deji & Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, CFR yesterday received a special car gift from one of his illustrious sons, Mr. Femi Meshe.

The Mercedes Benz S580 was presented to the Monarch during the Praise and Prayer programme held at the Oba Ademuwagun Hall to mark the exact day the Deji made a triumphant entry into the palace about 10 years ago.

Mr. Femi Meshe who is also the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee was represented by the Bamofin of Akure Kingdom and the Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo SAN.

Speaking on behalf of the donor, Dr. Ajulo described the gift as timely and well deserved of a King who has made immense contributions and sacrifice for the development of Akure Land. There is no doubt that Mr. Femi Meshe knows what is good for Akure and her Monarchy as a great son of Akure Land. Kabiyesi, I am happy for you today and to see that all your good works and sacrifices for the land did not go unnoticed. Dr. Ajulo said that the Deji had brought Akure into the world map of limelight through his activities of connecting and reaching out beyond the Niger.

In his response, Oba Aladetoyinbo described the gift as a pleasant surprise to mark his 10th Coronation anniversary.

Mr. Femi Meshe had always taken good care of me before now alongside numerous Akure Sons and Daughters who had been doing wonderfully well. I am short of words to describe Mr. Femi Meshe than to say he is wonderfully exceptional. I pray that the Almighty God will continue to uphold him and preserve him for us. I am greatly proud of him.

Eminent personalities, Chiefs, Akure Sons and Daughters as well as well-wishers had earlier in the day gathered to thank God on behalf of the Monarch. Songs of praise were rendered to appreciate God by different groups and Minstrels while prayers were offered for the Kabiyesi and entire Akure Kingdom.

Dignitaries at the event includes the Secretary to State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, Ondo State Commissioner Designate, Hon. Sunday Olajide, Member representing Akure South Constituency II, Hon. Stephen Abitogun, SSA to the Governor on ICT, Hon. Tomide Akinribido amongst others.

Clergies at the prayer and praise service includes the General Overseer of Freedom Apostolic Revival Int., Prophet Samuel Ojo (Baba Authority), Evangelist Sola Oki, the former Ondo State CAN Chairman, Rev. John Oladapo, Pastor John Kolawole.

Others includes the General Evangelist, CMCM Wordwide, Pastor Kayode Olorunfemi and many others.
