As Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Olamide Oladiji, has called on the faithful to rededicate themselves to the service of Allah and humanity, which he described as the essence of their existence.
In a goodwill message personally signed and made available to journalists in Akure, Oladiji urged Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues of unity, tolerance, and discipline imbibed during the Ramadan period.
The Speaker, who rejoiced with Muslim brothers and sisters across the state on the occasion, admonished them to continue to uphold the teachings and lessons of Islam, stressing the need for peaceful coexistence during and after the festival.
While congratulating them on the successful completion of the holy month of fasting, Oladiji assured residents of Ondo State of the Assembly’s commitment to enacting people-oriented laws that will promote inclusiveness, social justice, and the overall well-being of the citizenry.
He further lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his remarkable achievements across various sectors, noting that his administration has demonstrated purposeful leadership and a clear commitment to the welfare of the people of the Sunshine State.
Oladiji also wished Muslim faithful a joyous and hitch-free celebration, praying that Allah rewards their fasting and almsgiving with sound health, prosperity, and long life.
