Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has joined the Muslim community in the state to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
In a goodwill message, the Governor described the occasion as a time for sober reflection on the virtues of the Prophet, particularly tolerance, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence. He noted that these values remain essential for fostering harmony and mutual respect among diverse groups in the society.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged Muslim faithful to use the celebration to pray for the continued peace, unity, and collective progress of the Sunshine State. He also called on the people to sustain their support for his administration’s development agenda.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to the welfare of the people, the Governor pledged to continue implementing policies and programmes that would bring lasting socio-economic benefits to all residents of Ondo State.
