The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, has called on Muslims to rededicate themselves to the service of Allah and humanity as they join others across the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by him, Oladiji rejoiced with Muslim faithful in the state and urged them to imbibe the values of love, peace, and unity exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He described the celebration as a reminder of the Prophet’s teachings of compassion, perseverance, and selflessness.
“I extend warm felicitations to you all on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Maulud. This auspicious celebration, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is a testament to the enduring values of compassion, peace, and unity that Islam embodies,” the Speaker stated.
He further encouraged Muslims to extend kindness to the less privileged and to promote peaceful coexistence during and after the festivities. While commending Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the various achievements recorded by his administration, Oladiji prayed for continued peace, unity, and prosperity in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.
